3 reasons why LaPorsha SHOULDN’T have apologize for her comment

After losing in the final season of American Idol, La’Porsha Renae, a contestant from Mississippi, signed a record deal with Motown records. She was interviewed by the media and was asked about her future plans with the next step in her career. She was also asked her about her concerns with the passing of the anti-LGBT law in Mississippi. Her response became the gag for the past few days that it made the gurls feel some type of way.

This is what she said in response to the anti-LGBT law in Mississippi:

“This is how I feel about the LGBT community: They are people just like us. They’re not animals as someone stated before. They’re people with feelings. Although all of us may not agree with that particular lifestyle for religious reasons, whatever the reason is, you still treat each other with respect. Everybody is a human being. We should be able to coexist with one another.”

With that being said, the “gurls” just took it as if she was saying that she didn’t like gays when that is NOT case. Today, she came out and apologized for her comment. She didn’t say anything wrong, it was the gurls that took it and ran with it. This is where I’m going to step in and defend her comment. To be honest, she shouldn’t have made an apology to the LGBT community and there are three reasons why she shouldn’t have.

She was clearly ASKED.

How in the living hell do the gurls find the time and day to get mad, dislike, then bash someone about making a personal opinion on an issue they were asked about? I can see the reason to go in on her as if she said this out of the wood locks with no questions but damn, the woman was ASKED the question by the media. So, nobody really can’t fought her for speaking how she truly feels on the issue. That’s just like a random female asking me how does her hair look. Either I’m going to tell her it looks sickening or a hot-ass mess. Either way, she has to be happy and feel confident about or just feel some type of way and possibly change the look. Like they say, never ask questions you don’t want to know the answer to but that ain’t the case either. What I’m saying is that the LGBT community can’t be upset with her for making an opinion on an issue she was asked about when in reality, we still slap each other’s faces with bricks and opinions we have about one another while it’s only doing nothing but dividing us like a math problem.

She had the right to voice her honest and VALID opinion on the issue.

The purpose of an opinion is to speak it truthfully and honestly from your point of view on a certain event or subject. Since she was asked about her thoughts on the anti-LGBT law in her home state, she had the right to respond in which ever way she can. This is America and everyone has their freedom of speech right? With her comment, she was pretty much saying that even though she doesn’t agree with the lifestyle, we’re still human and should be treated equally. There are people who don’t agree with homosexuality but don’t treat them differently. It’s funny to me how the gurls can’t take certain things they choose to dish out to others. BITCH, if you feel like you have a right to have something negative to say about another person or something you don’t agree with, then Ms. La’Porsha have a right to pull out her two cents from her check to say what she got to say.

She’s a GROWN ASS WOMAN.

At the end of the day, Ms. La’Porsha Renae is a GROWN ASS WOMAN and that’s all that need to be understood. She’s entitled to her own damn opinion just like everyone else is. Why let a comment that didn’t have any intentions of bashing get the best of you? There’s nothing nobody can do but just respect her opinion, rather if she was to agree,  and move on with life because time goes on WITH or WITHOUT you. And for the ones who was waiting to seek an apology, you’re just inconsiderate, misunderstood, and immature.

The gurls just like to find something to be pressed about. Over a damn comment that was said out of respect and honesty? Y’all need some prayer in y’all’s life. That just shows how much fuckery, foolery, and messiness there is in the LGBT community. Overall, Ms. La’Porsha shouldn’t have apologized to a damn soul on this earth.
